Cosplay to me

Well i know i have been neglecting my blog and i must really apologise coz i'm not in the habit of blogging regularly like what i did a few years back
nowadays, i'm more concerned about my own privacy, so i rarely share stuff on my blog anymore

anyways, back to topic-Cosplay
yes, people must be wondering,''huh? i thought you cosplayed before?''
NOOOOOO those frilly dresses are just a form of fashion called Lolita, NOT cosplaying!

what actually pulled me back from cosplaying is actually partly due to Lolita fashion and also my teeth
lolita fashion is just expensive...a dress from btssb could cost like close to $400?usually i'd get secondhand ones which would also cost about $150-$200...which i think is even more expensive than cosplaying just that for cosplaying you can't wear those clothings out(but still when u wear lolita, people would still think you're cosplaying and stare at you like you're aliens; i guess this is the Singaporean way of appreciating fashion they have never seen before?hmm ._.)
and my teeth is horribly protruding out of my mouth, so i needa get it fixed asap but after so many years of procrastination, i still haven't got my braces..if i have signed up for the public one, i would probably have got a subsidised braces done already T^T

but you know, once you hit 20, you will start panicking and yes i just can't wait anymore
would be getting my braces in December hopefully and probably stop cosplaying for about 4-6 mths?
i'm really starting to feel old......i just wished time would rewind itself....even though i had a rather horrible 14-19 year old life, i would still go back coz there's tons of things i didn't get to finish....

now that i've quitted lolita and don't give a damn shit about my teeth anymore (coz i think my youth is more worthwhile than my teeth and i just needa practise on positioning my teeth so that it's not so obvious>A<), it's time to enter the cosplay world!!yooooooooooo
i'm actually pretty excited about this coz it has been my dream since i was 15 years old ( yeap went to Cosfest the first time in my life and i never knew characters could come to life like that! i was so taken aback and the cosplayers look like they had a lot of fun^^)

Honestly to me, cosplay is not about looks( but of coz it's still the main concern to many), it's really about the experience and memories you create. It is also important that you like the character you're cosing not just because you're cosing for the sake of cosing ^^;;

like there are politics in the office world,lolita world...i'm sure cosplay would have such politics too, so i'm hoping i'd be spared from all these drama TAT
and hopefully through my cosplay journey to the peak, i could  make as many friends as possible who share the same interests as me ^^

bye lolita, i'll miss you.thank you for all the memories you've  given me! I've made some really really nice and crazy friends through this fashion and i can't imagine myself to have not gotten into this fashion TAT just how many pathetic friends would i have...oh god i don't even wanna think about it..

Recent happenings

My holidays are ending soon and I would be resuming my boring Uni life next week
Before my hols , I can still remember how stressed and hectic I was (but definitely not as stressed as I was in spring sem)

Headed to terminal three with my group mates to complete our project and do a dry run for our presentation
And wow by the time we finishe everything it was like 8pm
Had lunch at pasta mania instead of having macs with the girls coz I'm really not fond of eating fast food ESP macs :(

Also handed up our music journal and I'm a bit disappointed coz I was expecting a higher grade but oh we'll ,I hoped the teacher got entertained by my sarcastic sentences inside xD

Met up with heng yee at jcube (my first time there) and something unfortunate happened ,but thank god it ended nicely ^^;;
Talking with xmm makes me feel younger LOL ( yeah I suck their youth energy one BEWARE)

Finally I also went cycling at Pasir ris park with my dad and siblings on National Day coz it's been very log since we last did some outdoor activity together
I think my dad quite fail one ..coz he seldom organise family activity one :(
Haiyo

Visited marina bays a few days back and it was an absolutely STUNNING PLACE!!!!!
I would definitely go and go again coz I'm a flower and nature freak(well not the insects part of coz !)
When I entered cloud forest and gt greeted by the main attraction-man made waterfall ,I thought I was on another planet pandora LOL or maybe Miyazaki hayao's world

The environment temperature was pretty cool which is definitely a plus because sg is too hot these days TAT
You guys shld really visit gardens by the bay!! You can see many countries in one place!(trees and flowers)
I'm amazed they have maple leaves !!!
But I think there's only two of them .__. If maple leaves can be planted , why they don't want to plant ginko tree????
Or even Sakura ?????

I think I don't even go out to walk for half of my holidays man ...simply because I have no partner to do so.. And my dad is nagging me to get a bf coz he says I keep spending too much and forever staying at home :((((
Sorry dad I'm a fujoshi and have an ojou temper , I don't think there's a guy who could really stand my personality ...

I have been feeling pretty restless these days...because it's my summer semester 2 D: dressing up makes me feel better,so i decided to do some coordinate shots(well of coz I didn't wear them out or I'd get weird stares...) I just wished the Singapore culture would get used to nicely-dressed people.__.

I have always ALWAYS wanted to try such boyish vintage look and I must say I really liked the results! (well not the hip area...Ever since school started, I gained so much weight I wanna cry...) It's time for me to stock up on more boyfriend shirts, thick-sole shoes, three-finger socks and vests=D

Journal

I have a lot of free time today and I don't wanna waste my youth away anymore hence I decided to pick up art journaling again >< I seriously can't remember what happened yesterday ,which is why I think keeping a journal is important and drawing helps me feel there's something for me in the future ^^;; I must say different watercolors have got different results when mixing TAT which explains why my drawing is too greenish when I'm supposed to make it look blue-ish >_< added some sprinkles to make it look less plain and I really did enjoy this sketch session

    Japanese paper I bought from Daiso,as always their stuff are made from China...The one on the right is made from Thailand though. But nevermind, they were really pretty *V*

Choo Choo stickers+vintage photos stickers. I really really recommend getting these Choo Choo (cat) stickers because they are really cute!!! If you're into cats, this is definitely a must-get!:D

My current collection of Japanese stickers. the middle two are bought from Kyoto (I'm regretting not getting the other two designs...T__T the quality is good and so pretty!! Best thing-Made in Japan) The right one i bought it from Takashimaya and costed me a bomb....But it's okays! These stickers are extremely hard for me to resist primarily is because of their texture *loves*

Daiso stickers! I recommend getting the left one coz that's the one that is made in Japan! I went to many branches and I don't see them stocking this design anymore T__T whattttttttttttt

Stamps~~~I'm totally in love with this new hobby ! Use these stamps very oftenly on my journal; they are really good for spicing up your page :)

     one thing I didn't like is that the rubber stamps are peeling off from these wooden blocks...have to straighten it everytime before I start stamping

Still using non-craft stamp pad because I have no money to get it in sg....

   this set of stamps are so pretty >//< But one thing is because the images are really detailed, sometimes when you stamped it, the details won't show, so you just get this 'merged' image for the detailed parts. Or is it because of the non-craft super wet ink i used...hmmm
